Squire and Company Announces Four New Partners at Annual Leadership Retreat
At the annual Squire & Company retreat, CEO, Jonyce Bullock, announced four new partners to the firm: Marc Andrus, Kyle Greene, Joe Spillner, and Garth Simpson.
“These individuals are experts in their fields and truly represent the best of Squire,” said Bullock. “We pride ourselves on being one of Utah’s forward-thinking CPA firms, and I believe each of these individuals bring unique ideas and innovation to our firm.”
Marc Andrus has been named an Advisory Partner. Marc joined Squire in October of 2013, with about six years of Controller level experience in the Direct Selling industry. Marc graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Business Management with an emphasis on Information Systems. He also has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Utah Valley University. Marc serves as one of Squire’s outsourced CFO/Controllers, focusing primarily on helping companies in the Direct Selling space. He especially enjoys helping new business finance departments, giving them the roadmap and tools, they need to succeed.
Kyle Greene has been named an Audit Partner. Kyle joined Squire in 2010 as a member of the assurance services team after graduating with his Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University. He oversees audits of local governments, not-for-profit entities, and for-profit entities. He specializes in local governments, including school districts, counties, and special service districts. Kyle is also a member of the Government Finance Officers Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants. He loves serving and working with the Utah community.
Joe Spillner has been named a Tax Partner. Joe joined Squire’s Tax department in October of 2016 after his time as a tax professional in the heart of California’s Silicon Valley. His education experience includes graduating with a BS from California State University Chico and receiving his MBA from Missouri State University. Joe is currently a California Certified Public Accountant. His areas of specialty include business and individual tax, international tax, and the technology industry. He regularly assists companies in structuring their worldwide operations in a tax efficient manner. He’s experienced with early start-up companies to industry leading publicly listed companies and everything in between
Garth Simpson has also been named a Tax Partner. Garth serves as a Certified Public Accountant at Squire and is a member of the tax committee and business valuation team. He assists in training and support for new staff members and is an expert in state and local tax, with an emphasis in sales tax consulting. He specializes in business and personal tax returns (S Corporation, Corporation, Partnership returns), performs tax consulting, and assists in tax planning for companies with general and specific accounting questions and needs. Before coming to Squire, he earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University.
