Squire & Company’s Jonyce Bullock Recognized as 2020 CEO of the Year

Squire & Company announced that its CEO, Jonyce Bullock, has been honored with Utah Business Magazine’s 2020 CEO of the Year.

This award honors chief executive officers in Utah who are strategic visionaries, inspirational leaders, savvy businesspeople and, above all, drivers of success. The 18 selected CEOs put their companies first, support their teams and have proven track records of elevating their companies to their highest potential.

“Receiving such a prestigious form of recognition is truly an honor,” said Jonyce Bullock, CEO of Squire & Company. “I am passionate about Squire, our team and our clients. I will continue striving to lead us towards success and remain at the forefront of the accounting industry.”

Bullock started at Squire & Company in 1999 as a member of Squire’s tax team. She quickly progressed and became the first female partner in 2011, paving the way for stronger inclusion of women at all levels and guiding the company with a new and different perspective than it had in the past.

Since becoming CEO of Squire & Company in 2018, Bullock has led the company to record growth. She also led Squire & Company through a merger with a local Salt Lake City firm in July 2018, which helped the company enter the Salt Lake City market, growing the firm by 30 percent.

“Early in my career I learned that you must take a seat at the table, figuratively and literally,” said Bullock. “Several of my greatest career opportunities came from my willingness to physically walk into a meeting and take my place at the table. Having that drive to take charge of your own future can really take you far.”
