Squire’s Amanda Barrett-Brough Named One of Utah Business Magazine’s 30 Women to Watch

It didn’t take long for Amanda Barrett-Brough to make an impact in her role as Audit Partner and Practice Area Leader. For her efforts, she has been nominated as one of 30 Women to Watch by Utah Business Magazine.

Once the pandemic took a grip on normal day-to-day life, where many may have seen an incredibly difficult – if not impossible – challenge, Amanda saw an opportunity to serve her colleagues and clients in innovative ways. She quickly moved to provide increased communication and collaboration with her team and even thoughtfully sent care packages of Bluetooth headphones, head-scratchers, and other goodies to ease the adjustment to working from home. Amanda continues to find ways to make life in the “new normal” as seamless and stress-free as possible.

Actions like those aren’t out of the normal for Amanda, who has been making a tremendous impact for Squire since her first day as an associate in 2005. As she continued to advance into leadership roles within the firm, it was clear that her work had not only triggered significant growth for the company but had also sparked a movement of advancement for other female employees. As her leadership role has increased, her focus on creating additional opportunities for females in the accounting world has increased as well.

In addition to founding and leading Squire’s Women Improving Professionally Group, an internal employee resource group within Squire’s doors, Amanda has also founded a Women in Business mentorship program at Utah Valley University. Her impact has already been felt by numerous women looking to break into accounting and will continue to be felt for years to come.
